Good news! According to the American Cancer Society (ACS), cancer deaths continue to decline. Having reduced by almost a third since 1991, the drop continued by some 2.4% overall in the last year for which data is available (2017-2018). The ACS attributes the decline to fewer smokers and improved techniques for cancer detection and treatment.
