May 1st is the official beginning of Brain Tumor Awareness Month (BTAM) or Gray May. No, not gray as in sad and gloomy. Gray as in gray matter!
According to the National Brain Tumor Society, BTAM is dedicated to supporting, empowering, and amplifying the voice of the brain tumor community. The society has planned a host of events to commemorate BTAM. You can find the schedule at their website HERE.
The Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada is leading the way for Brain Tumor Awareness Month in the north. Click HERE to find info about their events.
The National Cancer Institute (NCI) is also getting ready for Gray May. You can find their informative post recognizing BTAM at this BLOG.
